Abbie Brown

ENGLAND SEVENS PLAYER

A whirlwind year brought Abbie into prominence in 2015. She made her full England debut against Wales in the Six Nations before playing for England Sevens in the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Series and being centrally contracted. She has also been part of the U20 15s squad. Abbie followed her brother into the sport, picking up the ball when only six at Cullompton RFC.

She represented Team GB at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, scoring two tries in the historic event. Still just 24, Abbie captained England for the last two seasons and led the side as they won their Olympic qualifying event to book Great Britain’s spot at the 2020 games in Tokyo.

She was set to again leading the side in the 2019-20 campaign and has crossed six times in her 21 matches on the World Series to date.
