A writer, editor of Nu Generation Rugby and fully-fledged rugby mum, Nima first got into the world of rugby when her son started playing for a local club when he was five. She admits that rugby was never on her radar until she moved from London to Leicester, where she noticed it was hard not to be hit by a passing egg-shaped ball!
Rightly convinced that 'the gentlemen’s game' would be good for both of her children, she encouraged them to take up the sport and soon developed a keen interest herself. Her son is now in Syston RFC U13s and her ten-year-old daughter plays for Leicester Tigers Swifts.
As well as discussing her experience of getting into rugby as a family, Nima occasionally writes a ‘Rugby Mum’ blog for Be Rugby Children’s Magazine. An avid supporter of Leicester Tigers, Nima is a Trustee for Leicester Tigers Foundation which uses the power of sports and rugby to educate, motivate and inspire a positive future for all.
