I started watching Rugby from a very young age, beginning with the 5-nation tournament, France was playing against its arch enemy – England, in Le crunch”.
Fast forward to 2014, due to my love of rugby, I offered my services as a marketeer to Saracens Supporter Association and was responsible for their social media and communicated all promotion of the supporter association, I have interviewed rising Saracens players and had a presence at physical events with legends such as Michael Lynagh, Henry Fraser (the famous motivational speaker, write and mouth artist) and a variety of Saracens players, icluding, Billy Vunipola, Maro Itoje, Alex Goode and more at Allianz Park.
I also enjoyed organising and meeting up with other Rugby Supporters Association, including Toulouse, Toulon and Glasgow to name but a few. One day, I hope I can interview Jonny Wilkinson and practise my French Rugby chat.
In 2015, I was thanked by the Toulouse Supporter Association, in their club house for coordinating the signing of a French flag by all Saracens Players and welcoming their fans, following the terrorist attack at the Bataclan in Paris.
I left the SSA (Saracens Supporters Association) in 2017 and started writing a rugby blog in French and English, aptly named “Rugby Entente Cordiale” and occasionally was interviewed by various media outlets such as Talk Radio, French and New Zealander bloggers and journalists.
Rugby has allowed me to meet some very versatile and talented current and former rugby players, journalists, supporters who support and celebrate the joy and camaraderie that Rugby brings and I love its ethos of inclusivity. Everybody is welcome, whatever, your gender, size and skills as a player. If I were to play rugby, I think my perfect fit would be a scrum half as I’m a quick thinker, creative and bossy * (I mean I have good leadership qualities).
I am a huge supporter and advocate for Dallaglio RugbyWorks.
